VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL is happening at OEFC this coming week (July 13-17)! Please be in prayer for the children who are registered to attend, their families, and the many OEFC people who are giving their time and talents to offer this week of fun at Armor Quest: learning to put on God's protection based on John 1:12.

HYMN SING AND MUSIC CONCERT Sunday, August 23 at 3pm in the Fireside Room, everyone is invited to an afternoon of music featuring Beckie E and her children – the “E Quartet.” Beckie previously attended OEFC and was much appreciated for her piano accompaniment, especially at Christmas. The concert will be interspersed with hymn singing, followed by fellowship together (please bring a sweet or savoury snack to share if you are able).

PICTORIAL DIRECTORIES We are expecting the new directories to be shipped to the church by late summer or early fall...watch this space for an update.

MEN'S GOLF TOURNAMENT Let John D know (or sign up at the Info Desk) if you would like to be on the mailing list for the 7th annual OEFC men's tournament at Turner Valley Golf Course! Tentative date is Saturday, September 12. $120 for golf, power cart, meal, gratuity and prizes.

LADIES RETREAT October 16-18 at Island Lake Retreat Centre in the Crowsnest Pass, under two hours from Okotoks. Join us to unwind, deepen friendships, enjoy meaningful conversations and take a break from the busyness of life! Register online by August 15 (pay $175 now or later). Early bird registration by July 31 for special doorprize draw.

9:15am and 10:45am WORSHIP SERVICE Pastor Rob is preaching on Psalm 51 "The Importance of Confession." NURSERY (0-24 months). Children 2+ will stay with their parents; activity sheets are available at the back of the auditorium.

Start with Amen by Beth Guckenberger Throughout the centuries, Christian tradition has taught us to end prayers with amen. But the Bible is full of stories and passages where God’s people started their prayers with amen. Why? As Beth Guckenberger shows, amen is more than just a way to punctuate a conversation with the God of the Universe. Amen is a declaration of who God is and who we are in relation to Him. It is a moment of submission and worship, saying “So be it” to a Sovereignty that holds all things, and acknowledging “It is as you say” to Him who holds our lives.

OEFC FOOD BANK HAMPER TEAM The Team is looking for additional people to help prepare food hampers for local families. Hampers are packed at the Food Bank on the second Thursday of each month. If you're interested in serving in this ministry, please contact Char H or Jenn B.

BADLANDS PASSION PLAY Weekends near Drumheller until July 19. Co-Vocational Canada, in partnership with Briercrest Seminary, offers an online certificate for spiritually mature Christians who want to deepen their theological and ministry understanding while navigating the commitments of everyday life. This 12-week online course is taught live by Briercrest Seminary faculty, providing accessible theological education and a practical foundation in the Old and New Testament, Theology, Church History and Pastoral Ministry.
