Rob Cave

Lead Pastor

Rob has served in the Evangelical Free Church of Canada since 1997, pastoring in New Norway, Alberta,  Surrey, and Kamloops, B.C.  In 2015, he and his wife Cherise and their youngest boy moved to Okotoks where he served as Prairie District Superintendent for 5 years. In 2020 he became the Lead Pastor here at OEFC. Rob loves seeing  people transformed by the power of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
In his spare time he enjoys golf , camping and walks with his wife and their dog Finn.  Rob and Cherise have three married sons and three beautiful daughters-in-law.

Steve Regier

Associate Pastor

Steve graduated from Canadian Bible College in 1984 and was in the pastorate until 2001 when he joined Trans World Radio as Regional Director for the Prairies. He served there until joining the staff at OEFC on May 1, 2008. Steve is married to Bonnie and they have four children and eight grandchildren. He enjoys most sports as well as hunting, fishing, hiking and camping. Steve has a heart for missions, evangelism and prayer. He welcomes you to his office anytime to talk about your relationship with Jesus Christ and your ministry within His body. 

Chris Young

Youth  Pastor

After graduating from Ambrose University in May 2014 with a Bachelor's degree in Youth Ministry, Chris joined the staff of OEFC as the Children’s Ministry Director. The role of Youth Pastor was added to Chris' job description in June 2017. However, he is not new to the halls of the church as he has attended OEFC and volunteered in various capacities for many years. His passion is to see young people come to love God and grow in their relationship with Him. Chris is married to Erika and they have three young children. 

Cathie Bailey

Director of Ministry to Women

Cathie is delightfully married to her husband Chris Bailey and together they have three children, Matthew, Emma and Nathan. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Intercultural Studies from Briercrest Bible College, has spent time in South Korea teaching English, worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse and most recently was a medical transcriptionist working from home until her new job began at OEFC  in the fall of 2024. Adventure and fun are two words that are never far away when Cathie is around, and in her spare time she loves attempting to golf! She also loves hanging out with her friends and family and likes gardening, flowers, fishing and quadding! Cathie is passionate about women’s ministry and encouraging women in their daily walk with God while wholeheartedly relying on God's strength as promised in 2 Corinthians 12:9.

Dwight Forseth

Worship Pastor

Dwight was part of New Creation Ministries (Break Forth Ministries) for approximately 10 years through touring musical groups. Since then, Dwight has served in a number of roles which include youth pastor, creative arts pastor, lead pastor and is now worship director at OEFC since 2015. Some of Dwight's greatest joys are coaching and developing worship teams, working with sound and media technicians and staging crews, and leading worship.

Dwight and his wife, Lisa, have three adult children. They enjoy movies, having fun, and playing music together, and they have a boutique audio and image design business, The Furnace Room Studio. Dwight loves to tinker and is on his way to becoming a great guitar technician. He continues to write and perform music and has been privileged to record full length recordings for many local musicians, two worship recordings, an instrumental recording, and a full length recording of his own songs.

Laurie Dreger

Office Administrator

Laurie began her role as Office Administrator in October 2015 after her retirement from the oil and gas industry working in Human Resources. Laurie and her husband, Warren, have called OEFC their home church after moving to the area from Calgary in 2001. Since that time they have been involved in Children’s Ministries. Laurie enjoys scratch cooking and spending time with friends. 

Tracy Morris

Communications

Tracy has one desk but two roles, serving part-time with the church and part-time for the EFCC Prairie District office located at OEFC. An American by birth and a Canadian by choice, she met her husband, Steve, while studying at Trinity Western University. Following 17 years in Abbotsford, they moved to Okotoks in 2008 along with their three daughters. Since then, they've added two cats and two sons-in-law to their family! Tracy loves reading, gardening, organizing things and being creative.
